Welcome Clara Nerbonne as our new Student Bike Coordinator In-Training. Next fall she will take over the program from Amelie. Clara is the sister of the famous Lucas Nerbonne, our very first Student Bike Coordinator.
First Ever Bike-Around: To raise money for the bike program (none of our grants came through), we will be doing a "Bike-Around" fundraiser during the month of May. Click here to learn more and to sign up. Counting starts Wednesday May 1 and continues through May 31st.
The Super Seward Cycle Sale will take place on Saturday, May 18th by the bike shed (the weekend of the Seward Garage Sales). The sale will be put on by the Shop Rats and proceeds will benefit the bike program. Looking to purchase a new bike? We will post photos of the inventory here a week before the sale.

Join the Bike To School ZAP Program!
1) Get a Zap tag from Linda in the office. We have Zap tags for your helmet or your bike. For smaller kids, helmet tags work better.
2) Register your tag (click on the mustard colored "Register" button at the top of this page.
3) Ride to school and pass by the bike zapper (see photo on right). It should beep at you when ride in the "Zap Zone",
Biking to school is fun, easy and HEALTHY. Also, a recent experiment we did proved that biking to school on average is 5 minutes faster than taking the bus.
Prizes: We also give out prizes to bikers who reach mileage levels. We have Mile Club levels at 100, 250, 500, 1000 and 1500 miles.

About the Program
Biking to school is fun, healthy, and often faster than the school bus. Seward has an automated bike program that rewards kids for riding their bike to school. Just get your Zap tag from the office, register it and ride by the zapper by the bike racks. When it beeps, your ride has been logged. Ride at least 8 times per bike month to be eligible for prizes.

Engineering the Ride is now is session until end of May. If you are interested in becoming a Shop Rat (work in the bike shop), stop by they bike shop during regular hours (M-Th 2:30-4:30).
